The luxurious Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi has just opened. It surely looks like it will add competition to other resorts in the high-end bracket. Take a look and judge yourself.
Sirru Fen Fushi will be the first resort to open in Shaviyani atoll, and one of two planned resorts in the atoll so far. It is located on the west rim of the atoll.
Sirru Fen Fushi will offer exactly as its name translates; “a secret water island” and consist of 120 luxury villas.
The island is 160,000 sqm and is located next to one of the largest lagoons in the Maldives.
Designed by world-renowned hospitality design specialists Hirsch Bedner, Sirru Fen Fushi is the first resort in the Maldives to offer private, raised sand deck beaches for guests staying in the Water Villas. The beach villas are however even bigger, and are definitely not lacking luxury either.
The beach villas range from 360m2 with a 14m2 pool (one bedroom), to the enormous 1155m2 with a 48m2 pool area (three bedrooms)
The water villas range from 164m2+ 19m2 pool area (one bedroom) to 525m2 +73m2 pool area (three bedrooms).
It will be interesting to see how this resort will do in the upper segment in the country. It has surely the potential for delivering an extraordinary holiday experience, in the toughest resort-market in the world.
